I’m curious as to when Europe and the States diverged on the opinion of s-t-y-l-e. Maybe it’s a democratic thing, and the pomp and circumstance is what still makes people get up and dress for the day. It’s a better way of living, really. I never understood—particularly in South Bend—why there seemed to be such a desperate hopelessness of self-presentation.
Things just seem a little nicer, this way. A little more lovely.
Had a lovely night with Anita (Katie came with us, yay!) at Funky Buddha. Which I, desaforunadamente, had to cut early, due to my trip to see Winchester and the Jane Austen house tomorrow morning. At 8:30 AM. Go team tourism!
