Volcano Week.

It all started on Thursday.

That was the day that I was supposed to go to Morocco.

I didn’t of course, because of this beast:

…Which, if you haven’t heard, is a giant volcano that is pretty much continuously erupting in Iceland. By Friday afternoon, it had grounded flights in 23 countries. All of the ash that the volcano is spitting up can screw with plan engines and just. stop. them.

Meaning I probably won’t be going to Nice this weekend, either.

The funny (in the dark and sinister way) thing about this, is that there really is no sign of this stopping. Also, the next mountain over there is a larger volcano that is bigger and badder and due to erupt any minute. So that’s great news.

It would seem legitimately possible that I could not have a flight home in three weeks.

I’m just happy that I’m here in London and wasn’t traveling, or displaced like a lot of other kids were from other programmes…. We’re all perfectly content, for now.

Though Morocco would have been pretty freakin’ cool.
